I lost my 2,000 plus contacts stored in iCloud.

Hi everyone,

I had about 2,200 contacts stored in my iCloud and synced to all my apple devices. I have been using apple since 11 years, and this has never happened before. I read online-went to iCloud.com on the web and tried restoring contacts from there. However, it did not work. I really am in a shock since the last 3 days. I have restarted my phone and also tried a hard reset. Any other thoughts? Your help will be much appreciated. Have a nice day!

Hello LD150,
Yes, they have disappeared from all of my sync’s devices.
I also tried an older archive but it did not help. Also, my phone is updated to the latest iOS.
thanks for your help. I will keep you posted if I manage to find a solution.

If they are gone from all your devices and you tried to restore from the oldest archive then it appears to be a catastrophic loss at Apple, whom you should contact directly.

Good luck and maybe come ask in the Lounge.
