Can someone fake their location of there phone by using an air tag

Any GPS-enabled smart phone can provide location information. On the other hand, the Apple AirTags cannot. They rely on sending their ID to a nearby iPhone via a Bluetooth connection. In turn, the iPhone would relay both the tag's ID and the phone's GPS location, encrypted, to the Apple servers over the Internet.
