MacBook by the heated indoor pool - is it safe?

ok so I’m gonna be renting a private indoor pool all to myself for this summer. and I don’t know if I should bring my MacBook because I’d be using it while I chill and relax by the indoor swimming pool? it’s a private indoor heated swimming pool.

Water and electronics do not mix. Plus the high humidity in the pool area could cause moisture buildup within the laptop which could cause corrosion & damage. Even if it would not cause any damage, the high humidity would likely trip the liquid contact sensors Apple has within the laptop to detect liquid. If Apple finds any of these liquid contact sensors triggered, then any repair will become a lot more expensive since Apple will consider it accidental liquid damage.

You will need to be mindful of the Mac's environmental limitations: its maximum relative humidity of 90% noncondensing could easily be exceeded in the environment you describe.


Then, if you were to transport that Mac from a cool, air conditioned environment to a warmer, humid environment that could just as easily cause condensation — liquid — definitely an indication of liquid damage.
