Water stains on sides of iPhone bezel

Hi , I have what looks like water staining on the sides of my iPhone 14 Pro Max , I’ve never put it in water or been in contact with any liquid , I only noticed this when changing phone case , any others have this issue and if so, was there a way to carefully remove the stains ?

Dark patches on iPhone 14 Pro back Back Glass Thinking about trading in my 14 Pro this week for the new iPhone but noticed some weird discoloration/dark patches on the rear corners of my phone. Does anyone know what this is? My first guess is water damage but my phone has never fallen into water or been submerged. Would apple still accept this as a trade in?
