Adding a card, verification fails. Settings get stuck and cannot close. Also cannot remove card

So...I tried to adda card to Apple Pay on my MacBook. I added the details then when it came to verification it says it cannot verify the card with my bank. Then this screen appears...and it keeps loading forever. I cannot close the System Settings without Force Quit. I cannot restart my mac without Force Quit. I cannot remove the card. So I am stuck on this page without any options. Please help. What should I do?

I think that’s possibly the issue. Mac OS 14.4 has some known issues surrounding Java and that could be the underlying issue causing the challenges you’re facing.

You should be able to use your iPad for online activities that require a web browser. The next update may resolve the issue. It may also be an issue with the bank not responding to Apple Wallets server call.

You can call Apple Support and see if they have a solution.
