The action “Run AppleScript” encountered an error: “System Events got an error: Automator Workflow Runner (WorkflowServiceRunner, _quick_action) is not allowed assistive access.”

I created a quick action in Automator where it runs fine. But when I set it to a keyboard shortcut and use the shortcut, I get this error:

The action “Run AppleScript” encountered an error: “System Events got an error: Automator Workflow Runner (WorkflowServiceRunner, _quick_action_name) is not allowed assistive access.”

I've given Automator assistive access by going to 'Privacy & Security' > 'Accessibility' > '+' > Automator

How do I do that same for the Automator Workflow Runner? It does not come up on the list of applications to add in that menu

Try this:

1) Copy the following line (it is a single, rather long line):

/System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/XPCServices/WorkflowServiceRunner.xpc/Contents/MacOS/WorkflowServiceRunner

2) In System Settings->Privacy & Security->Accessibility, click "+"

3) In the file open dialog, press Command-Shift-G

4) Paste

5) Click "Open", or press enter

This should add the WorkflowServiceRunner to the list.
