Thank You for posting the screenshot. You are not able to complete the installation of the iOS update because your iPhone is no longer connected to a Wi-Fi Network. You cannot update by using a cellular network (unless you are connected to a 5G network). Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi Network and complete the update. Make sure that your iPhone is also connected to power and charging.

17.4.1 Revision which claims to fix this issue is not available via ota, use mac or windows to update, or manually download it from IPSW.me then click shift (windows) or Options (Mac) and choose it then hit update or restore.
If you encounter issues installing the iOS 17 update, don't worry. Here are seven straightforward fixes to help you resolve the problem.
Way 1: Check Internet Connection and Server Status
· Test Internet Speed: Use Speedtest.net to check your network's upload and download speed.
· Restart Wi-Fi Router: If you encounter network issues, restart your router to resolve minor problems.
· Reconnect to Wi-Fi: If the issue persists, forget your current Wi-Fi network in your iPhone settings and reconnect.
Way 2: Force Restart Your iPhone
1. Press and release the Volume Up button.
2. Press and release the Volume Down button.
3. Press and hold the Power/Side button until the Apple logo appears.
Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
Way 3: Free Up Storage Space
Ensure you have enough storage space for the update. For a 5GB update like iOS 17, free up 6-7GB of storage. Here’s how:
1. Check Storage: Go to Settings > General > Storage to see what’s taking up space and the available free space.
2. Free Up Space:
Way 4: Check iPhone Compatibility
Ensure your device is compatible with iOS 17. Older models like iPhone 6s are not eligible for iOS 17 updates.
If none of the above steps work, it may be a hardware issue.Check out steps from this guide aswell:

If you connect to Wi-Fi and still get the same error do not force update using Mac/iTunes or your device will end up locked in recovery, this is my screen from the previous iOS 17.1.3 before it got stuck while updating to 17.4, there’s something wrong with recent updates. Wait until they fix these issues.
Same here. I downloaded it for iPhone 12 Pro Max but installing it was taking 4-5/6 hours and nothing happened.
i changed phones from iPhone 8 to 12 pro max and couldn’t do it ota. It took me ages and nothing happened it was loading all the time. Now I’m trying to do it via Mac.
My iPhone 12 Pro Max downloaded 17.4.1 in less than 10 minutes over the air. My iPad Pro, 11 inch, 4 th generation, will not download. It has been stuck on “preparing update”. I’ve tried all suggestions mentioned with no luck. Seems to be a lot of people with this issue. Apple needs to get their act together on this one.
Don't get it it makes your phone lose cellular
Mine too. Having sudden battery overheat/drain issue with 17.3.1. Trying to resolve by updating to 17.4.1 but failed with the same error. Please help if anyone knows.
My ipad (32G) can download but also shows error to update to 17.4.1
