Income and expenses spreadsheet

Numbers will not take my formula. I’ve watched the video on YouTube until I’m cross eyed and I cannot get it to work.

is there a small business income and expense template I could purchase for numbers?

Income and Expense is a broad subject. What specifically are you trying to do? What video are you viewing?

I would caution against trying to use Numbers to run the books of a small business. Software specifically designed for that may well be a wiser choice.

If you are looking just to do some analysis of income and expense, you could have look at the 'Personal Budget' template and File > New in your menu, and adapt that to include income.

You could also do a search for an Excel template and if you find one you like try downloading it and opening it in Numbers.

MacMost is an excellent source. The video on Basic Business Spreadsheet looks very thorough and detailed about what you need to do. It's for Numbers for Mac but should be similar for Numbers for iPad. What specific problems are you encountering?

If you are new to Numbers, or even if you aren't, you might want to review the user guides for Numbers.

Thank you SGIII for responding. I’m viewing MacMostLive: Building a Basic Business Spreadsheet. I can’t get the formulas to work. I have used QuickBooks for years, inputting the numbers myself into a PC because downloaded numbers required so many changes it was easier to enter each transaction myself. Last year I decided to use QuickBooks online. Another nightmare. And I have reached out to QuickBooks professionals and get no response. QuickBooks refused to help me because I am using an IPad instead of a PC. My business is a one pony operation. I vend at trade shows all over the USA and run my entire business using my iPad, as do many other vendors. All I need is a simple spreadsheet to daily enter income and expenses and add them up to give to my tax preparer. The spreadsheet on MacMostLive seems easy enough but I can’t get the formulas to work. I’d gladly pay for a Numbers compatible spreadsheet. Do you have any ideas for me? Thank you kindly.
