Hearing aid won't re-pair with bluetooth

I have All-Day Clear Slim hearing aids. They have two bluetooth connections, one that connects to iPhone for streaming and phone call audio and another that works with the hearken aid app to control the hearing aids.

After the last big IOS update, the app no longer connects to bluetooth but it does when installed on my wife's phone which is the same model and IOS.

I've tried to delete and reinstall the app and go though the reconnect process multiple times and reset the network settings but nothing seems to work. The app developer has not seen anything like this.

When I reinstall the app it has my id already, could some data still be present that has the app blue tooth as "forgotten" The hearing aids are now useless and I'm at wits end trying to figure this out.

Any suggestions? An help is much appreciated, thanks!

You might want to check the Settings on your phone:

ie: make sure your hearing aids are listed correctly, and are available there, for connection.

Check: Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices controls.

If your hearing aids are already paired to your wife's iPhone:

    • make sure Bluetooth® is turned off on your wife's phone
    • then (see if you can) pair your hearing aids with your own iPhone
    • then your wife can turn bluetooth back on on her iPhone

Your Apple ID is the account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more. It includes the email address and password you use to sign in as well as the contact, payment, and security details you use across Apple services. Apple ID Log-in: https://appleid.apple.com/

You may want to check if the hearken aid app you use to control the hearing aids needs updating to a newer version.

Thank you for the reply and advice. I only tested it on my wife's phone to confirm if it was an issue with my phone. The app and bluetooth connection on my wife's phone was removed.

When I reinstall the app it has my name before I enter it and I've tried to find where this data might be thinking it may still be "forgetting" the bluetooth connection. I can't find where this might be on the cloud and my phone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
