Delete contact list from iPhone

OK, log in to https://icloud.com, click on Contacts, and you can bulk select and delete them. If you have a Mac you can also do that using the Contacts app on the Mac.

Contact lists sync to email accounts. Go to Settings/Contacts/Accounts and turn off the account or accounts listed.
