why didndocuments folder disapperar on macbook pro after i setup sync with icloud
I setup iCloud to sync all files. Now document folder is not showing up in my favorites. Does this mean the files are not also stored in my local computer

If you turn on the Desktop & Documents option of iCloud Drive, the Documents folder is moved from the Favorites section of the Finder sidebar to the iCloud section.
That doesn't mean that the files aren't stored locally. If you don't have Apple menu > System Settings > [username] > iCloud > Optimize Mac Storage turned on, there will always be a local copy. However if you do have that option turned on, there may not be a local copy of some files if your Mac is low on storage. To see whether there is a local copy, see the "View iCloud status" section of Get file, folder, and disk information on Mac - Apple Support
