Unable to open Microsoft Office on my MacBook with macOS Sonoma

The error message I get now is "microsoft update assistant is not open anymore" and generally at start up. Microsoft talked me through updates(uninstall and reinstall) ensuring the app was current and aligned with 2021 version.

Once the Sonoma update (14.4) came through this error returned. Help Please Frustrated
