When I start a game of words and take my turn when the other person tries to take their turn, the game simply crashes out and does not respond. This has been happening since the launch of iOS 17 I am using the latest software version and so is the other person I have tried with multiple people so it's definitely not a device issue but more of a software problem

Have looked at the developer's website and there are no support contact options for this imessage app
