When I take photos now it’s now takes a lot longer to find the place (my location is on all the time) it’s now showing the date not the place of where I took my photos what is going on all my other photos say the place where they have been taken

Have you updated to the most recent version of iOS? I had the same problem with the first version of iOS 17, but no longer after the update to iOS 17.4.1.
Where are you, when you are taking the photos? Your iPhone may not be able to receive the GPS data, if you are inside a large building, far away from the windows, for example inside a museum.
I've updated to iOS 17.4.1 recently I was in London for a concert. My 4G and location was completely on the whole time I was extremely close to the person I was seeing and the photos I took show the location not the date which is really strange
Omg I thought I was the only onee I’ve done anything I reset all settings, restarted my phone nothing happened 😭
