Horizontal Lines on my MacBook Pro 2018 15''

Good morning, I have been having a problem with my 2018 MacBook Pro since this morning. These horizontal lines have appeared flashing and keep moving. Having 2 GPUs I have tried forcing the integrated one and the other to use but nothing has changed. I also tried using the diagnostic service and it did not detect any problems and I also reset the NVRAM. Connecting the Mac to an external display they are not there. The strange thing is that they only appear in certain windows, for example on the Finder they are not there and instead if I open the Launchpad, any video or the Login window there are lots of them (as in the picture). Looking here on Apple Community I found that this is a fairly common problem, but obviously Apple doesn't want to acknowledge it. Do you have any advice or explanation?

Thanks

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 14.4

You have a hardware issue.

external monitor signal comes direct from GPU, this rules out GPU—

therefore this points to a display issue/display assembly/display cable...
