Nimbus+ controller button options don’t display

I just purchased some (refurbished) Steelseries Nimbus+ controllers to work with my Apple TV (4th gen). Per the Steelseries website, these should work by simple Bluetooth pairing. The Bluetooth pairing works, but I notice the option and menu buttons do not display in the setup; hence I cannot dictate what each button does, nor do the newer games that require the advanced controller recognize my controller (I.e., the new Disney game). Anyone have similar issues or advice regarding a bypass / software update / driver?
