Trade In Value

I have an IPhone 13 Pro Max and my trade in value is currently at £370. Will this increase or is it a fixed price. My phone is in excellent condition, everything runs perfectly! Just wondering if I should trade in for a new phone now at the current trade in value or should I wait till the end of my contract, will the trade in price go up?

Trade in prices usually decrease. For higher trade in prices you need to shop around and look for deals that offer trade in boosts when trading up to a new phone. Seeing as you’re in the UK, Three usually have higher trade in values for upgrades on the September launch of new Apple phones (I received £180 more for my 13 Pro last September (for 15 Pro) from them compared to anyone else, then sold the 13 Pro box and paper inserts for £10 + delivery on eBay). You could also try Currys or Vodafone as well who usually do trade ups for new phones. Apple does trade ups but their prices are standard and deals are rare unless you have access to a college or university academic student email or ID.

From my experience your contract would need to be closed for you to be able to trade it in. There are a number of factors here though. Such as if you financed via your carrier or Apple iPhone Upgrade Progam or Apple Card Monthly financing.

Almost all of those require the device to be paid in full before you could trade-in. But, safest option would be to just go to an Apple store and inquire about your options.
