Remove the iCloud from the previous owner and use mine

this iPhone was the service phone of a director of our company who resigned just over a year ago, the company gave me the phone, only the former user had not deleted his account. I have the company document that attest that the phone is mine, it’s not a stolen iPhone, that iphone belongs to me.

I’m looking for help to remove the old icloud.

Thank you for answering me

regards

Emmanuel

The phone does not belong to you, it belongs to the person that has their Apple ID signed into it. You will never be able to use the device unless the company is able to prove that they purchased it from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller to remove the Activation Lock on the device.

How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support

No document that the company gave you will be accepted or any other document from a third party seller. The company failed by allowing an employee to use their own Apple ID on the device. It is standard practice in the business world to manage their own devices using MDM software that would prevent that from happening. Some companies will also set the devices up themselves with their own Apple ID and use a Screen Time Passcode to prevent any changes.
