Transferring iPhones

So we just got a new phone for my son, but I can't remember the parental controls password I had set up on his old phone and we want to take them off. Is there a way to transfer everything from his old phone to the new one (pictures, contacts, texts, etc.) without having the parental restrictions transfer? Besides doing it all manually...just seeing if there's an easier way. Thanks!
