Concerns Regarding Apple's Collaboration with Baidu on AI Features for iPhone 16

Baidu, as a company, has a notorious track record when it comes to privacy protection. Not only has it been involved in several privacy scandals, but it has also been known to prioritize commercial interests over user data integrity, as seen in the tragic case of Wei Zexi. The user experience with Baidu's Wenxin Yiyan model has been notably poor, and given Baidu's history of unethical practices, there are valid concerns about whether incorporating Baidu's model into Apple devices will uphold the privacy standards Apple users have come to rely on.

In the era of AI, large models are crucial for the competitive edge of smartphones. However, adopting Baidu's model undoubtedly risks diluting the uniqueness of Apple's devices.
