Compromised pop up message

I received a pop up message on my iPad that says:

The password for one of your accounts has appeared in a data leak, putting it at high risk of compromise. iPad can help you re-secure your account.

is this legit and what should I do.

Apple will deliver such warnings.

They have access to a database of passwords and accounts that have shown up in data breaches.

Go to settings-passwords

you will see a listing security recommendations.

Click on it, it will list all the saved passwords that have potentially been compromised.

Your option is to change the password.
