My Apple Watch software update seems to be stuck. What should I do?

I have started an Apple Watch software update but it has stopped progressing halfway through. What should I do?

phone and watch are both fully charged.

I have verified that the WIFI is working and is on its charger.

iPhone 14

I had this too. Turn off both your phone and your watch, then power on the phone, check for watch updates, then power on the watch. Should restart the download and finish install.

Worked for me.
