Android Transfer file doesn't work between my new iMac 2023 (M3) Sonoma and my Android phone

I've tried many times with different cables, ports, etc to make the connection from my Galaxy A32 phone on my new iMac 2023 (with M3). Even on my old 2015 iMac (now running Monterey) which used to handle it effortlessly., now does not work either.

Every cable I use (USB-C to USB-A) ONLY charges, but does not off me the option of transferring files. I've enabled debugging and developer options on my Android phone. Is there a workaround or am I stuck using a SD card adaptor to move my photos?

There is no doubt there have been many problems with the Android File Transfer app that has affected many OS versions on either the Mac or the phone. Support and updates for the app are lacking to address these issues. Some users claim it conflicts with DropBox and was able to use the app after quitting DropBox, while others have been so disappointed in the support for the app, that they have used other options. These 3 links may offer you some solutions or alternatives along with the struggles others have faced on many different phones and updates between versions on the phones.
