I haven’t tested it but there is a potential solution using the Shortcuts app.
In this app, you can create a new personal automation based on the iPhone connecting to a Wi-Fi network. Then, by adding the action “Change Playback Destination” you can set an AirPlay device as destination for your streaming needs. You can also add actions to start playing a playlist, for instance.

At first it generated an error - so I ran it with a CONFIRMATION prompt, then Disabled the automation, then finally Run Immediately- this is working perfectly now.
