It sounds like your screen is damaged and needs to be replaced. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it diagnosed.

Thank you again, and I have learned much from you as well.

On a side note, I might have been wrong on this one. Re-reading the original post, this might be a camera issue if the problem is only happening on the front facing camera.

My suggestion is still valid though, either way it will need to be repaired at the Genius Bar. This is not something that can be fixed by the user.

Horizontal lines appearing on the front camera of your iPhone 13, especially after a FaceTime call, could indicate a hardware issue with the camera module or its connection to the device's circuitry. Since remote diagnostics and resetting the phone haven't resolved the issue, here are some additional steps you can try:

  1. Inspect the Camera Lens: Make sure there's no visible damage or obstruction on the camera lens itself. Even a small scratch or dirt could cause interference with the camera's functionality.
  2. Check for Software Updates: Although remote diagnostics were performed, ensuring your iPhone's software is up-to-date is still essential. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for any available updates and install them if necessary.
  3. Try Safe Mode: Booting your iPhone into Safe Mode can help determine if a third-party app is causing the issue. To do this, restart your iPhone, then press and hold the volume up button until the Apple logo appears. If the lines disappear in Safe Mode, it indicates a potential software conflict.
  4. Restore as New: If the issue persists, try restoring your iPhone as a new device using iTunes or Finder on a computer. This process will erase all data and settings, so be sure to back up your device first. If the lines persist even after setting up the device as new, it's likely a hardware problem.
  5. Contact Apple Support Again: Reach out to Apple Support once more and explain that the issue persists despite the previous troubleshooting steps. Even if your device is out of warranty, Apple may offer to repair or replace it for a fee, especially if it's determined to be a hardware defect.

If Apple Support is unable to resolve the issue and you're still experiencing horizontal lines on the front camera, you may consider seeking assistance from a reputable third-party repair service. However, be cautious when choosing such services and ensure they use genuine Apple parts to avoid further complications.

Unfortunately, if the issue is indeed hardware-related and your device is out of warranty, repairing it may incur costs. Be sure to weigh your options carefully before proceeding with any repairs.
