How to disable Security Key feature for my Apple ID

I am reaching out regarding my Apple ID, [Your Apple ID or associated email address], as I recently enabled a security key for added protection. However, after further consideration and research, I realize that managing the security key might be more complicated than I initially anticipated.

In light of this, I kindly request to disable the security key feature and revert back to using just a password for accessing my Apple ID account. I understand the importance of security measures, but I believe that for my current needs and comfort level, a password-based system would be more suitable.

If there are any specific steps or information required from my end to facilitate this process, please let me know, and I'll be happy to provide it promptly. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

To stop using security keys: Open the Settings app, tap your name, then tap Sign-in & Security. Tap Two-Factor Authentication, tap Security Keys, then tap Remove All Security Keys. If you remove all security keys, your Apple ID reverts to using the six-digit verification code for two-factor authentication.
