IPad gen4 as a Home Hub

I am trying to setup my old iPad 4 as a home hub.,I am running 10.3.3 software.

I have seen many posts on here that state it can be done by going into the Home settings and opting it be a Hone Hub. However, that option is nowhere to be found. Did I miss the boat or am I looking in the wrong place?

Assistance would be much appreciated! Thank you

Jeff

Hi there, do you have any other Apple devices in your home? iPads as home hubs were discontinued starting with the new HomeKit Architecture.

iPad is not supported as a home hub on the new, more reliable and more efficient Home architecture, which is available as a separate upgrade in the Home app.

Taken from: Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV or iPad as a home hub
