Cannot Install Logic Pro Sound Library

I just downloaded Logic Pro and I can't seem to install the Sound Library. I need to install the full sound library on an external SSD since I don't have enough space on my Mac. I opened Logic, installed the essential sounds and then relocated the Library to my external drive. After that I tried to download the additional sounds, but it seems to be downloading them to my computer instead of the external drive. It seems to download successfully, but once the installation happens, it fails. After this I have to force quit Logic and can't open it again (it's unresponsive) and I have to go to Storage and delete de the sound libraries it downloaded there, once I do that I can open Logic again, but it proceeds to download everything again. I did this process about 4 times, I also tried restoring the sound library, deleting everything entirely from Finder and downloading it again and the result is the same, no matter what I try.

I also double-checked and the sound library is indeed set to be located on my external drive, but it keeps downloading the sounds to my Mac anyway.

Any tips on how to solve this?

I had installed the sound libraries on an external drive long ago with the older version of Logic and had no issue.
