Final Cut Pro

Hi whilst in the middle of editing out of nowhere my Final Cut Pro is not responding. Has that multi colour circle going round and round. It's still going and I can click on anything. is there a way to resolve this without loosing all my work I've just edited?

Give it a little while, and try to Quit it normally with Command-Q.

If it does not respond still, you may have to force quit the application.

FCP is supposed to autosave, so you should not in principle lose much work.

Whenever this happens, FCP preferences tend to become corrupted, so you should delete them.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting the application and click Delete Preferences.

The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.
