Can you help? On my iPhone 15 running iOS17.4.1 I do not have the option to add NFC reader in the control center
All the articles I've read and looked on YouTube and it should be their period. Is there a setting or an update? I can make to get it to show and control center? Also any other tips to get my phone to recognize NFC tags better appreciated.

There is no option to add NFC reader on a modern iPhone 15 model. It's already on your phone built in and there is no need to turn it on or off. For the most part, NFC on iPhone is for payment purposes for Apple Pay.
I suppose it depends on what the tag is designed to do. For example, my car uses NFC tag to unlock, but the functionality is limited to Android phones and won't work on an iOS (iPhone). But for tags which can work with an iPhone, it's usually best to tap the phone to the tag.
Great, thanks for the prompt response. Any suggestions how I can get my phone to better recognize the NFC tags? It seems very intermittent when it picks up the tag. I've tried moving slowly etc.
