Kernel_Task having high idle wake ups
Hello! I have a Macbook Pro 2019 16" and I've never had any major issues with this machine, this is also my first ever Mac, I've had it for a few years now. So I apologize if this is ignorance on my part, but I would like to know if this is something to be concerned about.
Recently I had noticed in Activity Monitor that Kernel_Task having insane amounts of idle wakeups sometimes in the thousands, I'll attach a picture for reference. Obviously its not taking up much CPU%, and my Macbook isn't not hot to the touch or causing any performance issues on my end.
I have reset PRAM, SMC, and booted in safe mode and its still like this.
I did contact Apple support recently through support chat and over the phone, the first person I spoke to over the phone wanted me to update to the latest OS since there were bug fixes in that update, and to see if that would fix the problem and if it didn't to call back. I did do that and the issue was still there. When I called back I got someone different (not that I was expecting the same person) and he basically told me that unless its effecting performance to not worry about it.
I just came here for a second opinion. Thank you in advance for anyone who answers.
