I have a 2024 can am spyder and it comes with apple car play, but it does not work, BRP says its a apple thing, what gives?

Pretty common knowledge that the 2024 Can Am Spyders did not ship with Apple CarPlay enabled due to a licensing issue. It was widely reported that they were working with Apple to resolve the licensing issue and had advertised an April 1, 2024 date for resolution.
I don't know if it was live on 4/1, but as of today, April 4, 2024, Apple CarPlay is available on the 2024 Can Am Spyder. You simply need to connect your Spyder to WiFi and via the menu Preferences: General, select Download Update for the BRP Connect application. ~10 minute download and ~10 install. Your mileage may vary. ;)
I had it working for a day and now it is not working again. I bought a Sena headset just to use with this! I can still play muic after trying to connect but can't get the "Car Play" screen. What gives with this junk???
Well good to hear it’s working for you. Mine works for navigation and turn by turn directions but sending and receiving phone calls are a problem. There is a delay on the transmission of my voice and a delay at my end too. I’m using Cardo Packtack Edge paired to gauge as “bike pairing” and phone plugged into the bike. Phone is not paired to the gauge. So I’m wondering if anyone else has the phone call issue?
I purchased my 2024 Spyder Sea to Sky and I expected to have CarPlay. There are no updates available. Is BRP trying to deceive consumers.

Hi Zoomer, on your touch screen dashboard (Bluetooth) does your Packtalk Edge display as "Scala Rider QGA" or does it display as per your iPhone name? I can't get it to connect properly.
when I pair my to the bike I will check for sure I think it says headset connected. I Bluetooth the phone to the gauge too which recognizes it as phone connected. I Bluetooth both to gauge.
Ridiculous…you pay 30k+ for a product that they tout and it is incomplete. False advertising and misleading.

I got a letter from them offering extended warranty OR $500 in credit for accessories. Really, only $500?!? That is laughable. The 2024 with ACP is worth more than that. This is a bogus concession.

No. Someone posted in a can am Facebook group that they had heard it is being abandoned on the 2024’s
I'm a member of that Facebook group, and someone said they thought it was taking so long because CAN-AM wasn't actually making the effort. Nothing was posted that actually proved that.
