name change on new iPhone not updating to apple
purchased new iPhone and renamed it -- apple .com still showing old name

How did you rename your iPhone? You can do it by opening Settings ➡️ General ➡️ About ➡️ Name.
If you have successfully changed the name of your iPhone, then restart your iPhone and then give some more time to elapse and then check the Apple ID and Devices.
