How to open password protected SSD Samsung T9 on iPad Pro?

Hello, on Macbook I set up password for T9 Samsung SSD with Samsung PSSD utility and unlocking the disk works great on Macbook. But when I connect the disk to iPad Pro it shows “read only disk” and shows no files on the disk that were already written on it. This is because password is set up and I don’t know how to unlock T9 on iPad. There is no software from Samsung for iPad like PSSD to unlock the T9 disk on iPad. Samsung Community did not help. I certainly want to keep password protected access to the disk. Can you help, please?

Proprietary storage and encryption solutions often require installation of device driver or utility software on the target device(s) with which the storage is intended to be used. As such, if intending to use proprietary solutions, it is essential to ensure that they are compatible with all of the intended Operating Systems that you intend to use the device.

While device driver software can be easily installed on Mac and Windows computers, iOS/iPadOS does not support direct installation of device drivers. Instead, third-party drivers can only be added by installing a manufacturer-provided utility App. In this instance, unless Samsung have released a specific App to enable use of its proprietary encryption with your iPad, you'll not be able to use the feature with iPad.

If you format your Samsung SSD as APFS on your Mac, the SSD can be encrypted with a Password. iPadOS15+ can access password-protected APFS volumes.

Thank you for your answer although it is disappointing for me. I bought Samsung T9 4TB external disk to have a super memory for my devices: MacBook, iPad Pro and iPhone. So if I upgrade my iPhone 13 to iPhone 15 (which has USB-C socket), I will not be able to use Samsung T9 as external memory?

And can you tell me, please, if I re-format T9 as an APFS volume, will I it be password protected? Now I have Samsung T7 Touch and when I connect it to iPad, I unlock it with my fingerprint. But you are right, there is no option to unlock it with typed password.
