shared podcast subscription not working

I have paid for a podcast subscription. This subscription is included within my Apple family app. I have myself and two other people in my family group. We are all on Apple iPhones.

I can access the podcast (14pro) my son can also access the podcast (XR) but my husband cannot gain access (12pro). All phones are fully updated. All apps are fully updated. All phones have been turned off, reset and checked again and still the podcast is only accessible on the two phones.

as I was paying for the podcast for my husband to use (myself and my son won’t even be listening) is there any way he can access the content without paying again?
