Zoom Error Code 1132

The error got me. I spent a whole day reading, and it's shocking how Zoom can just block a device like that. I bought a Macbook to use Zoom (ew), and now it's just sitting there. I submitted a ticket but I doubt if they're gonna reply people with free accounts.


Can someone confirm if a factory reset can fix it? I read somewhere it doesn't work anymore. If that's the case, then this is insane!

Zoom Error Code 1132 can have two main causes:

  2. Technical Glitch: In some cases, the error code might be caused by a temporary issue with the Zoom app, your device, or your internet connection.


Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the error:

  • Update the Zoom App: Make sure you are using the latest version of the Zoom app. Outdated versions can sometimes cause connection issues.
  • Check Your Internet Connection: A poor internet connection can also trigger this error code. Try rebooting your router or using a different network.
  • Adjust Firewall Settings: Your firewall might be blocking Zoom from connecting to the internet. You can try temporarily disabling your firewall to see if this resolves the issue. Be sure to re-enable it afterwards.
  • Reinstall Zoom: If none of the above steps work, you can try reinstalling the Zoom app.


If you believe you haven't violated any terms and the troubleshooting steps don't resolve the issue, Zoom recommends using the "Report to Zoom" feature within the error message itself. This will send a report to Zoom and they will investigate further.
