GARAGE BAND NOT RECORDING ANY GUITAR OR VOCALS!

My garage band was working perfectly fine even 2 days back. But since today my garage band is not recording any sound from the MacBook mics, interface or even the microphone jacks. My voice memo app is working just fine in both low and high frequencies. I worked with recordings for about a year now and there is no problem with the privacy settings. My midi however works perfect. My MacBookPro just upgraded to Sonoma 14.4. I have never faced this problem. The high frequencies aren't being recorded like guitars and all giving a very fainted dead sound, and also the normal sounds are quite distorted. I don't know what has happened. My MacBook is only 1 year old. I also upgraded the garage band as well. what should I do? please help🙏😭
