Upgrade ssd MacBook pro mid 2017 with no touch bar

I have mac book bro mid 17 with no Touch Bar 128GB need to upgrade ssd to 1TB i saw a lot of videos that doing this but iam not sure

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

That is the newest MacBook Pro that supports internal SSD upgrades.

I would consult with an authorized service provider near you and see if they would be willing to take an upgrade from OWC and install it for you.


The upgrade entails risk of static electricity damage, using the wrong screw driver to open the case, stripped screws for someone not experienced in this work. We can't advise you further on this board.

OWC is Otherworld Computing. A worldwide third party store of available parts and third party refurbished Macs that is based in the state of Illinois in the U.S.

Correct, an Apple Authorized Service Provider, on http://www.apple.com/buy has the tools to to take out the SSD from the computer and swap in a larger capacity one on, on the 2017 and older MacBook Pros. And they have the specialists who know how to do the swap without damaging the computer.
