Just downloaded the new Apple TV app for Windows 11, and cannot get any movies to download - they fail within seconds with an error code message of "Stopped (err=10054)". Getting very frustrated with this app and I've only had it for a few minutes.

Why do you start with downloading? Streaming without downloading is the norm these days.

According to MSDN error 10054 means connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
Is your computer marked as “Authorized”? Authorize or deauthorize your computer for Apple ID purchases - Apple Support. If not, then please do. Then try again.
I deauthorized all computers and reauthorized my current machine. Attempted to download and got the same error. I am trying to download so I can sync with my iPhone directly. I also prefer the response time I get from downloaded content vs the streaming despite the fact that I have a fiber connection.

That won’t work. Downloaded content is only playable for the device on which it was downloaded. Each device must do their own downloads from Apple’s servers directly.
Attempted to download and got the same error.
