Can I use Apple Pay to purchase Bitcoin?

The vast majority of banks have terms and conditions that restrict the use of >cash equivalents<. Cryptocurrency (bitcoin) is just one example of a cash equivalent. Why are cash equivalents restricted? The federal government considers converting bank funds (credit cards, debit cards, money transfers, gift cards etc.) a form of money laundering in the banks eyes.

If you value your relationship with your bank/credit card company, I would try to minimize your purchases of cryptocurrency. There are many posts across many social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Reddit etc of having their bank account closed after being a “longtime” customer.

If the machine accepts Tap To Pay, you can pay for anything that the debit/credit card you added to Apple Pay can be used for.

There's no such thing as an Apple Pay gift card, do you perhaps mean an Apple Gift Card? If so, you can't buy anything except Apple products and/or services (depending on the type)- so no, you can't buy Bitcoin with it.
