iPhone Mail "Move to Junk": Does it update filtering stats?

On the built-in iPhone Mail program, viewing an Email message, then hitting the left-pointing arrow button at the bottom, we have an option called "Move to Junk".

Question: Does that literally only move the message to the Junk folder, or does it (as I would presume) update the Bayesian junk-mail filtering stats based upon that message as well?

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 17

Moving a message to Junk teaches iCloud to send any future messages from that sender to Junk as well.
