My email has not updated in 2 days on my iPhone 8

My email has noT updated for 2days. It is very unusual . Tried to get a code from a Google account, but it would not come through. It is the same on my computer. I did everything on the list above, except the last step - I have an 8s iPhone. Please help/ I need to get into my email.
