Finder doesn't show image thumbnails from my external SSD, only as generic .jpg files, but it shows image thumbnails from the internal disk. I've indexed from spotlight and Siri but not work in SSD. But when I sarch from mac drive it work nicely. You see my SSD Format is ExFat. Plz give me a solution.

Another user posted last year that they had this problem with Sonoma and exFAT volumes. Apple completely changed the exFAT and FAT driver with Sonoma moving it from a Kernel level driver to a user space driver. This means the driver has had significant changes.

Icon previews are dynamically created from the content of the file and cached. It will take a while for the system to create the previews, and when you eject the drive, that process will stop. I don’t know if it caches the image previews on the internal startup drive or on that external drive. If it caches on the external drive, then ExFAT may be a problem.
