I forgot my IPhone 12 passcode how can i reset it

I am locked out of my IPhone. It is telling me that I have to reset

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 17

This is how:

Note that EVERYTHING on the phone will be erased by this process, and any data will be restored from a backup (if a backup exists).

If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support
