My cellular data doesn’t work while away from home

That simply means you were never using cellular data in the first place when you are home, but WiFi. Make sure cellular data is turned on.

Settings->Cellular->Cellular Data (turned on)

Sounds like Cellular Data may not be working when you are also at home.

To find out......temporarily turn off Wi-Fi

Settings > Wi-Fi

Turn Off Wi-Fi
