Hi I’m on holiday in Japan and loaded an esim so as not to use my UK hard Sim however now it seems my hotspot has disappeared?

I loaded the eSIM to avoid roaming charged but it has given me a new number to use in Japan on top of my UK number which I’ve listed as the secondary number

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

You'd have to contact the carrier in Japan and see if you can pay for Hotspot service. iPhone doesn't offer Hotspot service. That's provided through the carrier you're using.
