Is there a maximum RECOMMENDED nested folder depth for macOS?

I "heard tell" that iCloud can get "wobbly" (my term) once you go deeper than two levels. I understand that it's possible to go on many, many levels, and my question is focused on best practices and reliability.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.4

As the saying goes it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. I've gone decades w/o issues until I lost stuff during a migration and a senior tech said something to the effect that iCloud isn't supported for more than two levels deep. This doesn't mean you can't go deeper and have it work. Maybe like the message of the mines of Moria, don't be greedy and go too deep into the darkness...

But seriously, I'm just looking to see if anyone has heard anything similar.
