retrieve data from airport time capsule A1400

I am running an ATC A1400, an old one.

And as I recently changed to a cloud, I would not need the slow ATC.

It has a 2 GB disk and is full with data and backups.

I want to retrieve all data from it and stop using it.

When I do it over my network, it will take 3 days of downloading from the Time Capsule to my Mac.

Question: Is there a way to connect the ATC directly to my Mac?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.7

Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the three LAN <--> Ethernet ports on the Time Capsule to an Ethernet port on your Mac.

If your Mac does not have an Ethernet port, you will need to use an Ethernet to USB adapter.

Another option that you might consider.......

Use the Archive function in AirPort Utility to copy everything on the Time Capsule hard drive over to a USB drive that is connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule. This way, you don't have to move all of the data to your Mac at all. Just keep the USB drive around as long as you want, in case you need to back and retrieve an older file.
