MacBook Pro's battery takes more than 5 hours until full charged, from 50%

Hi fellow Mac users!

I have a 16-inch MacBook pro from 2019. My problem is, that for a few weeks now the battery takes more than 5 hours until full charged, even if its on 50% already. I have opt-out optimized battery charging, also SMC chip has been reset, yet, the problem still stands. I have tried another power adapter, another cable and macOS is up-to-date as well.

According to the battery health menu, the battery condition is normal and I haven't experienced faster battery drain, the only problem is the slow charge.

Any tips, ideas what else could I try? Thanks in advance!

Consider downloading and running this little "discovery" utility, Etrecheck. it changes NOTHING.

it contains little tests for speeds of devices, CPU utilization, memory usage, energy usage and a digest of recent problems, in one easy to use package. it does not even need to be Installed. Because less can be learned when your Mac is running great, best time to run is when your problems are actually occurring, if possible.

if you follow the directions faithfully, its report (pre-laundered of all personally-identifiable information) can be "Shared" to the system ClipBoard, then Pasted into an ‘Additional Text’ window in a reply on the forums.

That computer is a battery-CAPABLE device. It is not optimized as a battery-operated device. (It is NOT an iPhone.)

Your computer performs best when connected to AC power. It can use the full output of the Power Adapter AND when doing especially challenging work will also freely "borrow" power from the battery. In some cases, even with the power adapter connected, the charged state may decline during stressful work.

¿Is your Mac Powered OFF when you are reporting this 5 hour charging time?

Under a load, not under a load...you do not paint a very big picture

verify your software is up to date…

I leave Optimize battery charging setting on by default— never had your issue

I see a charge to full now:

The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery only—this is how you help optimize your battery charging and extend the working life of your battery by reducing the cycle count.

Thanks for your answer. Well, you can help me anytime to paint the big picture better. :)

As I mentioned earlier, macOS is up-to-date, and doesn't matter whether I browsing the net or I don't use it while it charges.

@Grant Bennet-Alder

I've met this "borrowing" before, but this must be something else. I don't use this Mac for stressful work. I know it is not an iPhone, but 5 hours is weird and this wasn't the norm before.
