40 Security Recommendations .. is this for real?

This morning our iPhones and MacBook Pro started showing 40 high priority Security Recommendations. Here's the top bits:

It claimed all 40 had been involved in a data leak.

Is it really true that all these leaks happened in the past 24 hours? I suspect not. Especially as there's nothing in the new about major leaks. I'm happy to change loads of passwords but is this report likely to be accurate? Have any of you seen this, too?

Thanks, guys.

Yes, it's real. No, it doesn't mean anything particular happened in the last 24 hours. What it means is the system has just found evidence that the credentials may have been compromised meaning they've finally shown up wherever it is that the system scans for such information.

Whether or not you want to change them is up to you. If you're not reusing passwords and the ones that may have been compromised aren't especially important (e.g., a login you created so you could comment on a website, and you aren't concerned that someone will comment as you), maybe you don't bother. Or, maybe you do.
